Claudia Labisch has worked at the Leibniz Association’s European Office in Brussels since January 2007, first as advisor on EU research funding, and since April 2008 as head of office.
Translator and interpreter by training, she lived for several years in the south of France where she worked for the pharmaceutical Laboratoire CHAUVIN-OPSIA in Toulouse, and as a free-lance translator and interpreter.
Claudia Labisch has been working in Brussels since 1996; first at the Bremen State Representation to the EU, from 1999 to 2006 at the EU Cooperation Office of the German science organisations (KoWi). She was a member in European Commission‘s expert groups for the implementation of the EU Research Framework Programmes and external observer in the evaluation procedures of the 7th Research Framework Programme. In 2015, she spent a four-months term at the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to UNESCO Paris.
